Sample Checkin is a configurable option. Not all dnaLIMS systems have Sample Checkin enabled.
When Sample Checkin is enabled, sequencing requests cannot advance into a Sample Sheet until
the sample is physically checked in.
This feature can be enabled to checkin samples and primers or just samples.
When viewing the Sample Checkin form, select a requests checkbox to checkin the sample.
If the Sample Location database value is enabled on the sequencing request form, the
summary table contains a location text box. Enter the physical location of the sample
into the location field.
