Discussion:
Login accounts comprise two parts, the dnaLIMS login account and the users Accounting Profile.
dnaLIMS login accounts can be created in two different ways.
First, the system manager can create a login account by using the dnaLIMS Edit User Login Account hyperlink.
Then, use the Edit Customer Information feature to enter the users Accounting Profile.
Second, the user or the system manager can create a login account by using the Create Login Account
hyperlink on the Web servers home page. This captures the users Accounting Information.
By far the easiest way is to use the Create Login Account hyperlink on the Web servers home page.
Procedures:
A. Create dnaLIMS login Account.
1. Select Create Login Account hyperlink on the Web server home page.
2. Enter the users first name, last name, email address, Login Name, Passwords, and Accounting
Information then select the Submit button. This will create an entry in the dnaLIMS password
file, accounting db, and email a message to the system manager that a login account was created.
B. Delete dnaLIMS login account.
1. Delete the users Accounting Profile using the Edit Customer Information hyperlink.
2. Delete the users dnaLIMS Login using the Edit User Login Account hyperlink.
