View Sample Sheets & Reaction Sheets

The View Sample Sheets & Reaction Sheet form has multiple functions.

Pre-Processing Report

This function displays a summary table of a Sample Sheet prior to processing
the Sample Sheet through the DNA Sequencer. It provides the necessary
information (SeqID, Well Plate Coordinate, Sample Name, Primer, User Name) to
physically locate the sample on the Well Plate and its associated Gel-Lane
position (SeqID).

Additional fields are included to document the samples sequencing results,
readability, and comments.

This table is printed and used to track the processing of the Sample Sheet.

The Enter Sequencing Results table is a look-alike table that allows the
lab technician to update the Results Database with the information gathered
on this printout. See Enter Sequencing Results.

The Post-Processing Report is a look-alike table that displays the information
entered with the Enter Sequencing Results form.

Sample Sheet

dnaLIMS creates sample sheets for many types of sequencers.
Each sample sheet contains all necessary information to import the sample sheet
into the sequencers data collector.

The sample sheet is a tab delimited file that can be read by Excel.
This allows the sample sheet to be edited.

The sample sheet function displays a summary table of the sample sheet with
a FTP hyperlink at the bottom of the page.

Usage:
Launch a web browser on the computer that drives the sequencer.
Navigate to the View Sample Sheets & Reaction Sheet form and display the sample sheet.
Select the FTP download hyperlink to download and store the sample sheet onto the computer.
Launch the data collector and import the sample sheet.

Reaction Sheet

This function displays a summary table with fields used to calculate each samples reaction.
The reaction sheet includes FTP download hyperlinks and separate viewing functions.

Post-Processing Report

The Post-Processing Report is a summary table just like the Pre-Processing Report
that displays the information entered with the Enter Sequencing Results form.

It also includes a Signature section to document Who and When the Gel was processed.
This is a useful form to printout and store to track the Labs activities.
